Here is a release route that does not require a finished track yet: build one from scratch out of supplied field recordings and you could land a spot on an official album and a premiere at Amsterdam Dance Event in October.
In Place of War has teamed up with Beatport, EarthSonic and Paranoid London's Paranoid London imprint for the Two Seas Producer Challenge. Producers download free sample packs via LabelRadar containing field recordings from two disappearing bodies of water: the dried-out Aral Sea in Uzbekistan and the frozen Bothnian Bay in Finland. Pick one location, build an original track using only sounds from that pack plus optional synths, and title it after the sea you chose.
One winning track per location will be shortlisted for the official Two Seas album, due out in January 2027, and the wider project premieres as an audiovisual installation at ADE in October. It is a real placement opportunity with no entry fee, open to producers worldwide, and it rewards anyone who can turn an unusual brief into a club-ready or listening-room track.
Submissions close 11:59pm PST on September 30 via LabelRadar. If you already have unreleased material that could be reworked around field recordings, or you want a fast, low-stakes way to get a track in front of a label and an established artist, this is worth the afternoon.
