If you are planning releases and bookings around the 2027 festival season, Barcelona's Sónar has put its first line-up on the table: around 30 names for June 17-19, 2027.
Peggy Gou, Carl Cox, Bonobo, Jessie Ware, Job Jobse, Cornelius, Tash LC, KI/KI, Yu Su and a Honey Dijon presents Sinister show are among the first confirmations. Several acts will appear as pairings: Chris Liebing and Speedy J as Collabs3000, Donato Dozzy & Batu, Ehua & Flore, and Busy P b2b Girl Ultra.
The format is changing as well. Sónar by Day moves to a site by the water close to the city centre, and Sónar by Night runs over two nights on four stages at Fira Gran Via.
The announcement ends the confusion of last week, when the festival posted a mock obituary on Instagram. The new campaign video takes place in a hospital maternity ward and presents the festival as 'reborn'.
The line-up mixes club headliners with left-field and live acts. If you are pitching music to DJs who play this circuit, that is the range of sounds to aim for.
