RIPPLES has released Pulse, a free rhythmic volume shaper plugin for Windows and Mac, available now as a VST3 and AU download.
Pulse combines sidechain-style pumping, rhythmic gating, and LFO-driven volume shaping in one interface, with an editable curve for building custom rhythmic patterns instead of picking from fixed shapes. It's aimed at producers who want the pumping effect popularized by tools like Cableguys' FilterShaper without programming automation by hand.
The plugin requires a free RIPPLES account and installs through the RIPPLES Tap desktop manager — a 192MB download on Mac and 81MB on Windows. Once installed, Pulse runs offline with no license key required, though the Windows installer isn't code-signed, so Microsoft Defender SmartScreen may flag it as an unknown publisher.
