What the numbers say

After 130, the biggest clusters are 132 BPM with 19 tracks and 128 with 16; only eight tracks run slower than 128 at full tempo. Keys lean dark at 57 minor to 43 major, and seven of the top 10 are in minor keys. Solid Grooves Records has the most entries with eight, ahead of You&Me Records with six and range. with five, while Ellis Garner holds No. 4 and No. 5 with two tracks from the same COCO release.

The chart has a long memory. 52 of the 100 tracks are more than 90 days old, and Jamback's 'Positive' is still in the top 10 almost a year after release. Only two entries are remixes, and 74 are listed as original mixes rather than extended versions. 83 tracks carry Beatport's Deep Tech sub-genre tag, so this is a deep tech chart more than a minimal one.

For buyers

A track at 130-132 BPM in a minor key matches what is selling right now, and because records stay in the chart for months, a strong release can earn for longer than in faster-turning genres. Browse exclusive Deep Tech tracks for sale and filter on that tempo window.

For producers

Write at 130 BPM, keep it rolling and minor, and focus on a strong original: remixes barely feature. Tracks average just under six minutes, so leave DJs room to mix in and out.
