If you are in Miami the weekend after Grand Theft Auto VI comes out, Club Space is turning itself into The Vault, the fictional nightclub in the game that the venue is understood to have inspired. The three-day "Vice City takeover" runs from Friday, November 20 to Sunday, November 22, starting the day after the game's November 19 release. You can sign up through the club to hear when tickets go on sale.
Chris Lorenzo headlines the Friday. Sunday is a Circo Loco Records Radio takeover with Chloé Caillet, DJ Tennis, Demi Riquísimo, Palms Trax, Seth Troxler, Prospa, Skream and more. Saturday is still listed as TBA, and online rumours point to Justice. The French duo have already put out "Pusher" with Gesaffelstein for the game, and Rockstar has confirmed they wrote its original score. No Saturday booking has been confirmed.
Across the street, E11EVEN becomes the game's NINE1NINE club on November 6, so downtown Miami will have two real clubs named after Vice City venues. Neither is an official Rockstar event. For DJs and producers it shows how closely club culture and the game's launch are now linked, and Circo Loco Records, the label Circo Loco runs with Rockstar, sits in the middle of it.
