John Summit Faces Backlash After Cutting Buenos Aires Set Short

John Summit is dealing with a wave of backlash, and reportedly outright harassment, after ending his September 12 headline set at Mandarine Park in Buenos Aires around 5:20am, roughly 40 minutes before the venue's 6am curfew.

Fans who expected a three-hour set flooded his Reddit and Instagram with complaints, and some crossed into abuse. Summit said the set ran two hours and 20 minutes, in line with his usual show length, and pointed at routing rather than effort: "Promoter should've booked a closer after me if they wanted a party going on that much later." He said messages telling him to "go kill myself" followed, and asked the fans responsible to skip his future shows.

For touring DJs and the ghost producers who supply their sets, it's a reminder that one late-night scheduling call, even one made to catch a connecting flight, can spiral into a public dispute the artist alone has to manage. Summit built his reputation on tech house; buyers stocking a similar set can browse exclusive Tech House tracks for sale.
