If you were planning around a Seven Stars 2027 slot or ticket, there is currently no date and no site. GRiZ has put his festival on an indefinite hiatus and says it will not go back to Oak Ridge Farm in Arrington, Virginia, after learning the land was once a plantation.
A social media post earlier this week raised the property's history. The estate's own website says family records list 124 enslaved people there in the 1800s. In a video posted on October 29, GRiZ said he only found out the previous Sunday. Members of his team had been told before the festival's 2025 debut, after consulting educators at the University of Virginia, but never passed it on to him. He called the failure entirely his own, apologised to fans, artists and workshop leaders, and spoke directly to the people of colour in his community as the online debate turned hostile.
Seven Stars held its second edition at the farm earlier this month. GRiZ gave no timeline for a return at a new venue.
