EXIT Confirms a Special Return to Novi Sad's Petrovaradin Fortress in July 2027, With the Full Comeback Still Set for 2028

DJs and artists can pencil in July 2027 for Novi Sad. On October 29, EXIT confirmed it will go back to its home at Petrovaradin Fortress next July. That is a year sooner than the festival had planned. Concept, line-up, dates and tickets have not been announced yet. They will come through the official EXIT website.

The return comes in two stages. The 2027 event is a special one-off gathering at the Fortress. The festival says a full-size comeback still needs at least 18 months of preparation, so that remains set for 2028. Organisers say thousands of fan messages pushed them to bring the first event forward.

The announcement came days after the student-backed opposition won Serbia's October 26 parliamentary election. EXIT had backed the student-led protests that followed the deadly 2024 canopy collapse at Novi Sad's railway station. After political, security and financial pressure, it could not hold its usual Fortress edition in 2026. Instead it ran eight events across six countries that year. The last of them was the first Starlight Festival at the Pyramids of Giza, which drew more than 40,000 people.
