Denon DJ has launched the PRIME 4 G2, a four-channel, four-deck standalone system built around an eight-core processor with 4GB of RAM — four times the power of the original PRIME 4 — under a 10.1-inch touchscreen and 8-inch jog wheels with LED displays.
The new MPCe pads add velocity, pressure and 3D sensing for finger drumming and stem control, and the unit ships with more than 40 built-in effects plus onboard Stems rendering for isolating vocals or drums from any track live. Built-in Wi-Fi covers streaming, including native Beatport Streaming, and onboard Engine Lighting drives SoundSwitch-powered DMX rigs straight from the deck.
It's $2,599 / £2,299.99 / €2,699.99, available now through Denon DJ's authorized dealers. There's no launch discount attached, so this is a straight upgrade call: for anyone running a standalone rig, the processing jump and native streaming support are the two changes worth caring about most.
