Atlantic Records and Rockstar Games released the first six singles from "Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album," a 34-track soundtrack landing alongside the game on November 19, and two of them matter for electronic fans. Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel produced Travis Scott's "RHYNO," one of his few production credits since the duo split in 2021, and "Sexy Magic" pairs Fred again.. and PinkPantheress with CA7RIEL, Paco Amoroso and French Touch pioneer Étienne de Crécy.
Electronic music already has a track record inside the GTA universe: Grand Theft Auto Online built a virtual club around Moodymann, Keinemusik and Palms Trax in 2020, and Rockstar partnered with CircoLoco the following year to launch the Ibiza party's own record label. With 28 of the album's 34 tracks still unannounced, more dance names could surface before the November release.
For producers, a AAA game franchise this size putting house and French Touch names next to Travis Scott and Morgan Wallen is exposure most electronic acts never get near. Worth watching who else turns up on the tracklist as the remaining songs are revealed.
