If you make your own music and want a bigger platform for it, Beatport has opened applications for Beatport Next 2027. The artist development program picks 12 emerging DJs and producers from any country and any electronic genre, and you can apply until November 6.
Selected artists get a full year of support. That covers editorial and social coverage on Beatportal, including the Beatport Next: Stories interview series. It also covers release promotion on Beatport, with homepage placements, banners, featured releases, playlists and DJ charts. There are live opportunities too: DJ sets, livestreams, panels and workshops. Artists also get sessions with Beatport's label, marketing, product and community teams, plus free access and partner offers from brands including Plugin Boutique and LabelRadar.
This is the seventh year of the program, which began in 2021. Past participants include Nia Archives, TSHA, HoneyLuv, KILIMANJARO and Sam Alfred. Beatport says your submission should give a sense of who you are and where you want to take your sound. The Class of 2027 is due to be announced in January.
For a producer who owns a finished record, this is a chance to get it in front of DJs and promoters. If you still need finished music to apply with, you can browse exclusive House tracks for sale.
