ADE Withdraws Backing From Amsterdam Party Over Shlømo Booking

Amsterdam Dance Event has withdrawn its official backing from a Komplott x Overgave party booked for October 21 at Panama Amsterdam, after the promoters refused to drop hard techno DJ Shlømo (Shaun Baron-Carvais) from the lineup.

Shlømo has faced allegations of sexual misconduct, psychological abuse and death threats since a former booking agent shared screenshots implicating him and other hard techno artists in February 2026. He denies the claims, and a criminal investigation was reportedly still open as of June. ADE said the promoters' public response to the backlash "ran directly against its values," and stressed that events carrying its name have to meet its standards even though it leaves lineup choices to promoters. DJs Xamuel and Within had already pulled out before ADE acted. The party can still go ahead at Panama, just without ADE's affiliation.

For a festival that positions itself as the industry's meeting point, pulling its name from a booking is a rare, public move, and a signal of where the line sits for other bookers watching how this plays out.
